Only In Mesa, Part XXVI
Them durn kids and their planes these days! Why, back when I was growing up, we didn't have all these planes flying overhead, we looked up and saw zeppelins! Lucky Lindy didn't train over my neighborhood, and neither should anyone else!
Ms. Eisenhauer went on to say that she would also like to see the city of Mesa create a task force (at no expense to the taxpayer, of course) to investigate why the Luby's Cafeteria on Longmore Drive closed and why that KAET-TV stopped showing "Are You Being Served" every weeknight for 3 hours straight.A group of northeast Mesa residents upset with flight training andwhat they call safety hazards at Falcon Field delivered a 30-pagepetition with signatures and comments to the mayor and City CouncilTuesday afternoon.
Terri Eisenhauer, member ofthe Keep Falcon Field Safe Committee and longtime area resident, said acity task force's recent recommendations aimed at balancing airport andresidential concerns are not far-reaching enough to improve the qualityof life in residential neighborhoods.
