Biden: Why are Obama's numbers dropping? Voters are stupid, that's why.
Joe Biden declares Obama too smart for some voters:
"The Republican party and some of the blogs and others on the far right, are trying very hard to paint a picture of this man, they’re trying the best as they can to mischaracterize who he is and what he stands for.If Biden's campaign was an Apollo Theater act, the Sandman would be showing up right... about... NOW.
"All this stuff about how different Barack Obama is, they’re not just used to somebody really smart. They’re just not used to somebody who’s really well educated. They just don’t know quite how to handle it. Cause if he’s as smart as Barack is he must not be from my neighborhood."
UPDATE: Holy crap, Hot Air's here! Should have picked up the place...

Everybody wants to think they are smarter than the average person. We don't want to be thought of as slow or even stupid. We want our families and associates to think of us as smart. Few can claim genius status.

He forgot to say how clean and articulate Obama is, too.

LMAOOOOOOOOO
The next thing he is going to accuse us "clingers" is that we pollute the blogsphere and are in cahoots to impede those hard working Americans from getting their new toasters!!!!

Careful! That's code, you know. Every adjective is now banned from proximity to the One. Even "smart" is code. Just be quiet in church, please.
Blogged on this over at the Queendom. The ingredients for a useful President don't necessarily include Obama-Kerry-Clinton-Gore smarts, anyway.

He has got to be kidding Obama has never seemed that bright to me. He sounds like a fool on the economy, war, terrorism. The message seems to be aimed at their base which is troubling at this point in the election.

"All this stuff about how different Barack Obama is..."
This has got to be one of the most irritating fabrications of the Obama campaign. Obama never fails to mention it, with, of course, the not-so-subtle insinuation of racism.
B.S.! I say! McCain, and Republicans in general have not tried to make Obama's "difference" an issue, except in the sense that being on the extreme radical left makes him "different" than the vast majority of Americans.
The only ones who make consistent reference to Obama's "difference," his "funny name," etc. are Obama and his surrogates.
