KEITH OLBERMANN SLEPT WELL: Or so Exurban Jon says....
Off to work!

Olbermann is one of the most objective journalists out there, says a coworker. hahaha!
She gave a great speech!

Keith is a chump, of course. Loud-mouth child of his past rebellion of "something". Keith will never be not-a-chump. Let's see his tax deductions and cover it for a week or two.
Promises of warm babas for that special group of adult children/agitators in this country are promises of a weak and worthless country.
There, I said it.

Keith Olbermann will sleep in a fetal position tonight.
...shivering, because mean old Sarah Paling stole his blankie. Heh.

As a far-left Dem, I watched Palin's speech, just to see who is this woman who can put a helpless animal into her gun sites and blast it's life out of existence, yet not want to abort a few hundred cells that will end up in our welfare system. But wait... I WAS 100% IMPRESSED! I laughed and cackled with her! She made very good points and her delivery was impeccable: in my opinion, gave the best d@mn speech ever written. What a speaker! Considering she has never been up before the world (yet alone a crowd of more than 1000 people) giving a speech, she never stammered or paused, but held herself high and left me with goosebumps the entire time! I kid you not! I am glad to see a woman in politics (even if it is not Hillary...), and the US is far behind the rest of the world in female leaders (Pakistan had a female leader years ago... PAKISTAN!!). What a role model for young women everywhere; I hope they were watching. I think that every teenage girl in this country should see her speech, so we can have more Palins in gov't, left or right. I was half expecting her to take off her glasses and twirl to become Wonder Woman. Seriously! I am a devout Hillary supporter, but Palin got me cheering with her. McCain is one lucky man to have her, and when McCain is elected, (did I say that?), Americans will be really proud to have her as VP. Heck, I would vote for her for President (did I say that, too?!?). . And besides, she is obviously a better shot than Chaney.
Oh, and about Olbermann: he doesn't look 1/2 as good as Palin, yet wears twice as much makeup! He & Matthews have divided us Dems (much to he chagrin of Repugs), where if you don't like Obama, you are called a right-wing radical (my fellow democrat mother said this to me in a heated argument over Obama, as well as calling me a racist!). Here is an excerpt from a letter I wrote to TIME magazine (I titled it, 'Obama: Just Say No'): "...Having tired of reading and seeing so many of my liberal media heroes engulfed in the thick and pungent Obama smoke, inhaling deeply, and then numbed by the sense of 'change', many democrats have come down and realized that Obama's rhetoric was just a pipe dream. When it comes to serious politics, Obama is now leaving the taste of old bong water in many democrats' mouths. When will members of my 'trusted' media put down the Obama doobie, and come to their senses as well?...". Needless to say, TIME did not publish it (DUH - they LOVE him!).

I can see we'll disagree on just about everything except Palin.
Regarding your "I would vote for her for President" comment, as Exurbanleague's Gun Nut In Residence, I can tell you that your feelings are also shared with many other people on the right. A member of one of of the firearm forums I participate in expressed it well when he said "I'm voting for Palin and what's-his-name".
Personally, I like the ticket the way it is, but Palin is DAMN impressive.

Allow me a humble attempt to bridge the eternal gap between Repug and Dim. ;-P
As Niblet's long-time (and civilly-unionized) partner, I hardly consider him to be a "far-leftist", which may be obvious from the fact that he is a disgruntled Hillary supporter who'd rather not cast a vote at all than vote for Obama. Once he described himself as a "paleo-lib" on this very blog, which I think is better - certainly funnier (I'm not entirely sure what others may take the term to mean LOL). In fact, I can say that the main reason that he used the term "Repug" at all is because he's so sick of some of the Democrats in his life insisting that the reason that he finds Obama so unacceptable is that he is "really a Republican" (or that he's "spewing Republican propaganda" as one peace-loving soul told him). Clearly it's tough being a centrist-leaning Democrat these days!
As someone who first voted GOP for President in 2004, and who officially switched party registration on the same day that Lieberman left the Democrats, all I can say to the Democratic party these days is you guys have done quite an amazing job of shrinking your tent. Keep up the good work.
It seems almost needless to say that I thought Palin's speech was awesome. When I watched Rudy speak, he got the crowd so fired up that I was a bit worried that he might upstage her, since it was her first major speech to such a large audience (and so clearly a make-or-break moment). I couldn't have been more wrong. It's not often that you know that you're watching a pivotal moment in history.
And God knows that if even a "confirmed bachelor" like me can tell that she's a VPILF in the making, she must be damn beautiful - hahaha. But, you know, it's the beauty of her personality and her life story that really puts the icing on the cake.
Last night a star was born. Let's hope that the future allows her to carry some of the potential she has into effect.

All kidding aside, we not only met our VP nominee last night, but our likely Presidential nominee in 2012 or 2016. She comes across as that formidable.
