McCain's national TV ad tonight?

Congratulating Obama on a job well done.

Unfortunately, the Democrat's 2004 Presidential candidate couldn't show the same amount of respect to the man who came to his defense four years ago.

Exit question: How can McCain truly be Bush's synchophant when four years ago, he defended his opponent?

Lesson 1 on how to pat a man on the head and slap him in the face at the same time.

Pretty clever - the McCain/GOP-bashing going on in Denver looks cheap and tawdry by comparison, which in turn makes the Dems look more desperate and panicky than they already are. If Obama speaks ill or negatively of McCain in his speech this evening, the contrast is all the clearer. Bravo, Team McCain!

John, I think you've hit the nail on the head. not only does this ad show McCain has a boatload of class, but it also throws down the gauntlet to the Obama campaign. The nastier they get trying to pump up their base during the speech tonight, the nastier they will look to the rest of the country, including the "undecideds" and "independents".
