Brilliantly subversive
Charles Austin suggests that Obama should be given a custom engraved 1911 .45 auto as a memento of his "support" for the Heller case. (Via Instaglenn).
DARN good idea. It puts him in one camp or the other for good, as it's hard to weasel your way out of accepting (or not accepting) a gift, unlike what he's done with his stance on the 2nd Amendment.
One small change, though. Instead of a Colt .45, make it a Springfield Armory .45 auto. That way it can be tied in with John F. Kennedy's commemorative National Match M1 Garand, and signifies both a landmark Supreme Court decision and a fallen hero of liberal politics. You don't want to disgrace the heritage of JFK and our right to keep and bear arms by turning a gift like this down, would you Senator Obama?
Would you?
