The whine list shoud be good, though.

Via the Corner comes this rather ridiculous list of requirements for catering the Democratic National Convention host committee party:

Fried foods are forbidden at the committee's 22 or so events, as is liquid served in individual plastic containers. Plates must be reusable, like china, recyclable or compostable. The food should be local, organic or both.
And caterers must provide foods in "at least three of the following five colors: red, green, yellow, blue/purple, and white, (What? No orange food group? -ExKev)," garnishes not included, according to a Request for Proposals, or RFP, distributed last week.

There goes the Latino Vote (no chimichangas, flautas or churros), and the Black Vote and Asian Vote as well. Red States will never abide by those rules, as fritters, chicken fried steak and beer in cans are written into the Constitution of some of the southern states.

However, Coors on tap could qualify as "locally produced" and fit into those rules, but that's something too horrid to foist off on anyone, even Democratic politicians...
